I'd bet that $66 million that he had absolutely no interest in playing for STLI could puke. I guarantee you a three year 66 mil would have been a "good fit".

$2 million more per year to play on team likely not to finish in 1st place during the life of the contract.....and have to play the field every single gameWhatever. Money talks. Your BS needs to walk.
He has a point Ducky...$2 million more per year to play on team likely not to finish in 1st place during the life of the contract.....and have to play the field every single game
Or be on a team likely to get deep in the playoffs for the life of the contract and be a DH
You would have had to up that offer into the 70s to get his attention
He has a point Ducky...
I agree with Ducky! Not sure what it would have cost, but if they could keep the contract down to 2 or 3 years the money should not have got in the way.. Oh well at some point we might get a legit #4 hitter.Like he knows. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Edwin will be 37 after this contract. He is not getting another big one. An additional 6-8 mil. might have been all it would take.
I checked several sources and Edwin's agent and other advisors are not named Cards21.
