This game is ugly, let's talk umpires

The last couple of games I've seen the home plate ump setting up with his line of sight on the inside batters box line. Why so far inside even when the catcher is not in his way so he he could move over? There is no way they can call an outside pitch with any accuracy.

Maybe it's so he can get a better view of Soler's bombs! Sheesh. That second one had an in flight movie and free peanuts...Man, this team is friggn' toast. I know they're a weekend away from the division lead, but dang...No offense and the bullpen seems to be hanging by a cheap thread. Looking up and down this lineup is somewhat depressing. I'm jealous of all the young talent the Cubbies have. Cards could be right, these guys could be a load in '15 or '16...and beyond.

Bryant will be up in May. That still leaves Russell, Almora, Schwarber, Edwards, Johnson (MoState guy)

This division will be a brawl next season

And Taveras was one the top prospects in the minors? Apparently no one was watching the Cubs minor league games.

No kidding! Some of those guys look REALLY good.

Cards...Assuming the Cubbies keep all the prospects...especially the guys at SS...who moves to the OF? Bryant? Gotta figure Baez, Castro, Russell, and Bryant all eventually play. Just curious on what the prevailing thought on where they all will play in the field. Sweet problem to have.

This is strictly my opinion...future lineup

8-Almora
6-Russell
4-Castro
3-Rizzo
7-Bryant
9-Soler
5-Baez
2-Schwarber (who is easily right now a 4 hole on most teams, projected)

That leaves Alcantara on the bench, who has proven to be able to handle multiple positions.

This is all based in the perfect world where everything works out right too
