What will be the best game in KC area to watch Friday night? Im looking to find a game with good OL play, you know, a good old school smashmouth football type of game.

If you ever find yourself in Pennsylvania, Ampipe is a great place for that

Come watch Smithville and PC. The Miller brothers will show you good old fashioned tough running.

Watched them beat Tonka week 6. Some tough kids right there. PC runs a zone blocking scheme. Not a fan of that, looks sloppy at times at HS level no matter the school IMO. I think with weather the Warrior's beat PC.

What I am looking for is two power run game offenses. With defense that will come down hill fast. They make for fun playoff games.

Rock at Liberty North. #1 story line is whether this is it for Coach Severino. #2 is what Jones and Co. have accomplished (they were my pre-season C6 team to watch but never expected this level of success, frankly) in year 3 at LN. I have seen North but not Rock...................but know the Eagles have quite the O Line and running game. I would hope several posters here in the KC metro will attend this one.

Lincoln Prep vs Excelsior Springs will have some old school smash mouth football with some good defense. And you can check out the new stadium with the blue turf.
I was really hoping this would be Kearney....................had they taken care of business at Grain Valley Week 7 would likely be going there BUT that is old news. I think this one is a total tossup. Emotions will remain high at Lincoln Prep however long the Blue Tigers last.

In the first meeting, the PC line dominated both sides of the ball. Unless the Miller's are playing guard and defensive tackle, there is no reason to believe that changes tomorrow.

As far big time line play, the game to watch is LIberty North and Rockhurst.

Not wrong on that. They are a state championship contender if they had a competent offense.

What amazes me is how stout that defense has been without an offense to control the ball a burn more clock than it has. Have kept waiting for the O to break out but don't think it will happen. At least I don't recall it giving up a lot of turnovers in the + zone so that is a positive.

I was at the game last week vs Liberty. 8-3 final. The game was played basically 20-20. 1 red zone trip a piece and PH punched it in with a run by Gathrite. And a safety early in the game. Was a quiet game outside of that. Neither team had more than 175 yards of offense. If I had to guess, PH’s season will end tomorrow night against a RP team that is finding its stride on both sides of the ball. RP is a team that I think can knock off LN

Depends upon what class you're wanting to watch. Large schools, I would say Ray-pec game so there are surely some great OL, both size and skill. Small class, though outside of the general KC area, Slater and Sweet Springs both primarily run the football so I would assume the OL play is pretty good for their level

I think Ray Pec doesnt get as much love as they should. They have some weapons on Offense and a very sold OLine. Park Hill has argueably one of the top D's in the state with several D1 athletes. I think Ray-Pec wins by 2 scores.

PC/Smithville should be a great game as always. Will be interesting too see if Smithville makes any adjustments on offense. They are averaging over 40 a game and was shut-out by PC a few weeks ago. Game was only 15-0, but sure how any line could have dominated in a 15-0 game.

Smithville had an outstanding defensive scheme that limited PC's favorite deep passes. If the Pirates' run game hasn't come around this could easily reverse..............I actually expect the Warriors to win perhaps going away.

Based on what? Platte City's defense was pretty outstanding too. Smithville scored zero points. By my math, if they score 5 times as many points as they did last time, they still lose. The PC run game was ridiculous last week. And Smithville gave up a bad basketball score against KMO last week. Pirates by two touchdowns.

Lincoln Prep has a 300 pound QB. He looks like a giant when he under center. .

when he gets to the second level he is tough to bring down

Kudos to PC for seemingly fixing whatever was going on in recent weeks. This is more about how much I like Smithville at this point than anything else...............just 52 more hours til we find out!

Same. There is a large human on the PC o-line that might possibly skew my bias here a bit.

Excelsior Springs at Lincoln Prep is too much a gem to miss. Liberty North will roll Rock by 21. Will monitor. Platte County will beat Smithville Lite by 20.

Bad question: If Smithville is Lite what does that make KTown? Bracing for the answer..............

I think this game is going to be a good ole fashioned molly wop. Lincoln Prep gets exposed.

Also, will Jones replace Sev?? That to me is the big question.
