But...but...but...He’s a true son. And really good at coaching defense. They just spent a fortune on facilities and they hired someone with zero big time experience as a head coach. Doesn’t make much sense.
Think the money folks are ready for a changeA defensive genius is letting a WR playing QB just shred his D.

They'll come out and somehow beat Florida and/or Georgia and the BO supporters will cling to the hope he is Gary Pinkel 2.0.
Reality is his ceiling is 9-4, 8-5, with some head scratching losses, and his floor is 4-8.
What top top tier coach would come to Mizzou? That is the reality for all Mizzou football teams IMO. Unless we ever get a top top tier coach it’s going to be hard to ever be at that top SEC level. We are never going to have the resources to hire a Bob Stoops level coach. UGA is at the top, and that FL and TN were not going to stay down forever. Kentucky has hired a good coach, and has given him time and resources to compete. That leaves us and Vandy.

Man that was a good one. You even injected pureswings favorite teamLes Miles went to Kansas.
I wouldnt say he is a brain surgeon, but
he is a big name.
not beating uga buddy, they will beat fla once the dawgs crush the gayturds dreams next week in j-villeThey'll come out and somehow beat Florida and/or Georgia and the BO supporters will cling to the hope he is Gary Pinkel 2.0.

Mizzou is an middling SEC program. If they were willing to spend money they could get a big name or even a high level coordinator from a top school easily dont kid yourself.

Because SEC teams with two recruiting hotbeds and only one div 1 university in the state is run of the millI don’t think you would get a top tier coach to stay at Missouri a long time but you could likely get one to come for a few years.
I don’t think you want Les Miles anyway. Go get someone like the Iowa St or Baylor coach.

Agree they don't need a name.Missouri is not really
True but probably not relevant. Jury is still out if the move to the SEC has been a good idea or not but that point aside, University of Missouri while being centrally locates between Kansas City and St Louis does not make it more of a destination job than say Clemson who is not the only Division 1 team in South Carolina and does not have the population centers of KC and STL.
My point was Missouri doesn’t need a name coach....Charlie Weis, Bobby Petrino and Lane Kiffin are big names. Find a quality assistant coach or a successful coach at a lower level that is a decent recruiter.
Also Kelly Bryant was horribly overrated and Mizzou would immediately improve with better QB play.
