Down 7-2 in the bottom of the 7th, Bader at bat with the bases loaded and 2 out, a 3-2 count and he takes strike 3 on the outside corner! You HAVE to at least try to foul that off if you think it's a ball, not just stand there and take it to end the inning!:eek:

It’s just not the way hitters approach ABs now. Which is probably a huge reason not many people are watching games these days either.

I actually tried to watch this weekend. I just couldn't stay interested. I'm not really sure what it is. I used to watch every pitch. And when not at home had the radio on. Today I don't even bother to check scores. If I know whether they won or lost it's simply because of Twitter reports. And I just blow right over most of those without reading more than the the first line. Maybe if they were better and actually had a chance to contend I might have more interest. But at this point they could stop playing and it wouldn't affect me one bit. I did read they had their biggest crowd of the season this weekend so apparently there's still quite a bit of interest. I kind of wonder what their TV and radio numbers are compared to years past. But not enough to look it up. Maybe it's just me....

You pretty much described me exactly. Except I’ll normally look up the box score in the morning. They aren’t very good. Baseball, as it exists now, is pretty boring. We use a streaming service that doesn’t have Bally’s. I’ve got kids to chase. Kinda the perfect storm…Except, I used to get the MLB package when we lived in KC area. I’d take one to practice or karate and have it streaming on my phone. Now living in the Spfd area, we’re in the blackout for MLBTV or whatever it’s called. That’s another HUGE part of the problem. MLB is worried about sticky tack, yet they’ve got a product that is kinda hard for people to even watch. Why the hell wouldn’t they be more concerned about getting their product in the most households possible?
