And nearly all of them will pay more than they did a year ago. I believe I heard them say more jobs have been created in the last year than any year EVER before. Gs is 'down' to $4.39 here this week. Still total BS but coming down a little at a time.
I can't remember what state or city it was but I saw on TV that the gas stations that also have charging stations were told they had to shut them down unless they were going give away gas too.
My gas station has been charging six cents more for a gallon of gas if you use a credit card for a couple of years now. This month they started charging 10 cents more per gallon. That’s a 66.7% increase. It’s freakin greed by the cc company, the station owner or both.

Covid was a 2 year event that totally screwed up the economy both nationally and globally. We weren't going to recover overnight, no matter who is president or what party controls Congress. We've only been back to normal for about a year now.
The economy was improving before Putin's invasion rocked the global market,including oil. WE must first get gas prices down. It affects every segment of the economy and daily life. However, every time in the past 50 years there has been a gas crisis with a huge increase per gallon, when the crisis is over the price never drops to the pre crisis cost at the pump. We may never see gas below $3 per gallon again.
The economic recovery will take time. I believe it will take a couple years. Biden has a year for the economy to improve. Inflation and gas prices are starting to hit home. People tend to vote in presidential elections based on the economy.

Pay with cash....simple solution they provide a service and they sit the rate either use it or don't. It's not complicated.
