So you have seen tens of thousands of posts on social media that said they were voting for KC players as a joke? They may not think it's a joke when the NL has to play them in the allstar game that decides home field in the WS.

I am voting for what I feel are the most deserving players not just my hometown Royals. I agree on Trout and Altuve but also feel Hosmer belongs in the game BUT no way Miggy Cabrera isn't the deserving 1B AL starter.

When the Royals were the leading vote getters everyone was saying that there is something wrong . When the Royals have been passed by large vote margins nothing is said about how a player can get that many votes. How many outfielders in the National League will be DL All-Stars.

I think mlb did a little "correcting" of the vote totals for that sudden change.
