Sikeston vs Cape is FRIDAY, March 4

Rocket, If Sikeston gets by Cape Central, the sectional game with Farmington is a " Walk Thru " sectional win for the Bulldogs. I attended the Farmington@ Pacific game last week. Pacific had no problem with Farmington. I believe Farmington best player is a freshman.

The quarter final will be more difficult with either Parkway West or Westminister as class 4 district 1 opponent. I believe Sikeston has a good chance to win in the quarters and advance to the final four.

Sikeston's opponent in the semi-final most likely will be Vashon. This is where the strength of the schedule comes into play. The Vashon Woverines will be the biggest challenge of the season for the Bulldogs.

The other two semi final teams should be Rolla, Bolivar or Lafayette St. Joe. These teams will very good and could bring home the class 4 state championship.

Rocket, Sikeston can compete with the above possible final four teams but it will not be easy. Most of my confidants are on Vashon to bring the class 4 state championship back to St. Louis.

Southeast Missouri's best chance for a state championship appears to be
1. Bloomfield
2. Sikeston
3. Gideon
4. C'ville

As of tonight the district finals are set in 15-16 and both are interesting: 15 features two under-the-radar very capable teams in Lincoln Prep and Center while 16 will renew the North-South St. Joe rivalry. Former Kearney HC Gary Belcher has done an outstanding job at Benton this year but Lafayette (who drew out late after a struggle for one half tonight) is a solid favorite.
