The KC Metro.

For those that are either ignorant, or just plain uninformed, here is a map of the KC Metro area.

Ratings and coverage of high school football by the local stations, PrepsKC, 810Varsity, and the Kansas City Star, include this official area.

Thank you,

Management.
It never ceases to amaze me when people identify with the KC "Metro" area because their actual town of Kansas City is a cesspool

You dedicate an entire thread to the subject and yet you can’t be any more precise than that google maps screenshot??? (Nor can you even insert the image into the thread???)

Try this instead (#CensusBureau):

Actually, it's the other way around. Most people live in boring, unknown suburbs and identify with KC because it is well known and has things like sports teams, museums, a zoo, and other entertainment and cultural activities.

Do I need to insert it? And what does the Census Bureau have to do with football coverage? Bahahaha You are providing erroneous information. The bottom two counties are not accepted by the sports media as being in the KC Metro area. Jeez.

Learn more about not spreading false, erroneous, and misleading information.

So you really do make your own rules regarding what constitutes the KC Metro (Census Bureau be darned)...

...and if you’re going to complain about the Census Bureau including those counties, shouldn’t we also take a look at all those Cities included in the corners of your recrangular shaped mapquest screenshot?

(Why do people even argue with you is beyond me...)

That was my thoughts originally from a couple of weeks ago. He defines things to fit whatever argument he is supporting at the time. I think he is confusing KC viewing / listening area with KC metro area. With the internet allowing people to view / listen from afar, next thing you know Webb City and Lamar will be in KC metro area in one of his future posts.

The media definition is set by the media that cover high school football. The "KC Metro" is determined and commonly understood to be those recognized by TV Channels 41,5,9,4, 62, and radio station 810 AM. Websites: 810Varsity, PrepsKC. And the Kansas City "Red" Star. Anyone that lives in this area knows and understands it. Others....not so much.
