Because there is so much bad behavior it has all been normalized. We must remove him and bring back some sanity to our government.
Because the American people know that if Trump would have told them, they would have filed a lawsuit with some liberal Federal Judge to stop the operation because the guy was just a poor misunderstood Muslim and it would have been leaked and all over the news in 15 minutes
There is no legislation anywhere that forces Trump to inform anyone about an operation like that. He can treat them just like they treat him so screw them. Kind of why the title is "Commander in Chief"
(a)Reports to congressional committees of intelligence activities and anticipated activities
(1)The President shall ensure that the congressional intelligence committees are kept fully and currently informed of the intelligence activities of the United States, including any significant anticipated intelligence activity as required by this subchapter.
(2)Nothing in this subchapter shall be construed as requiring the approval of the congressional intelligence committees as a condition precedent to the initiation of any significant anticipated intelligence activity.
(f)“Intelligence activities” defined
As used in this section, the term “intelligence activities” includes covert actions as defined in section 3093(e) of this title, and includes financial intelligence activities.

As for your comment about them filing a lawsuit is just ridiculous. Like or hate them on either side, they are patriots who put the country first. You know there is no way a political leader puts an ISIS leader ahead of our own country. There are certain things they can all agree on and that is definitely one.
Well since this was a covert military operation and not an intelligence activity all of that crap really doesn't apply now does it.

It's insane that you believe they would leak this or file a lawsuit and a sign that you have left reality. Insane.

Trump advised Russia and Turkey that we would be conducting military operations in that part of Syria that night. Syrian airspace is full of Russian and American assets. We did not want Russian air defense forces attacking our strike team.
The military was just fine with everything Trump said. He is Commander and Chief and what HE says is the opinion of the military,not people below him in the chain of command.

What have they leaked that put lives at stake? Be specific.
The reason impeachment stuff is leaking like a sieve is that there are 100+ members of Congress + staffers who have access to it. The senior leaders in the Senate/House have strong track records of managing these topics appropriately. They've given Trump zero reason to feel otherwise, especially on a topic like this.
Plus, come on, it would look awful for the Ds if they ruined something like this.
Not to mention he didn't have to inform them a week ahead of time, it would have been when it was approved and the mission underway. He did not have to get their permission, just give them a heads up. Trump would have been the ONLY one that could have recalled it that late like he did with the strike on Iran. One of the things he's done right.
