There are MLB players who hit into bad luck over a short period of time. But they use this waaaay too frequently as an excuse, often based on the exit velocity of their contact.

There are some folks who hit the ball hard on the ground right into the shift. Doing this repeatedly because you are not able to go the other way is NOT bad luck. Your exit velocity is pretty high but you still suck.

If you watch Ozuna hit you know they continually talk about his exit velocity.
He is something like top 5 in the league at hard hit outs. Espn just said he has been unlucky. BS. He hits grounders. Not line drives. He keeps pulling outside pitches. Over and over again. He isnt a great hitter. He is Heyward 2016-2017.
