The problem a majority of the candidates are running into is they are leaning into their base with more and wilder liberal ideas. We get it, you want to take our guns and give away free entitlements.

The problem with that strategy is:

It doesn't gain any traction with centrists, moderates, and otherwise independent voters. If you're preaching to the choir, you're not going to get the congregation.

Far more than those. The "green" policies are insane......even the "less insane" ones. The impeachment scenarios are straight out of Duck land. The abortion laws they have passed are no where near mainstream. I could go on and on.

You might not wish you were that close bad boy. I haven't even started to listen to all the people that say they want to be president. I had never of about half of them before the last few weeks and there will only be ONE that actually gets the chance to run for president. There should be a law that says NO ONE, including the president at the time, can start a campaign for president until 365 days before the election, this stuff has gotten so far out of hand it ain't even funny.

You are probably correct 3R, I truly do not want to be close to someone that willfully ignores things their party stands for. If you do not believe the democrats want to disarm people and increase entitlements, we need to never meet. I deal with people like that every day and do not need to add anymore.

Honestly I think I heard Booker going over details of his gun confiscation plan during his CNN Town Hall a few weeks ago

These people can say they 'want' to do anything they want to say. That does not mean it will ever happen. A president can advocate for anything he or she wants but they can only sign what lands on their desk. In what reality do you think any of that stuff will get there? What happened to ban on 'assault weapons' from back in the Bill Clinton area? Last I heard bump stocks have already been banned but I haven't figured out how they will enforce anything other than new sales.

Why would such ban have a time limit on it? Seems to me it should have to be changed the same way it was put in effect.
