and they insist on saying they how much they liked that 48'double. I know they know 3rd base is 90' away and they also know that bunt rolled several feet into the left field. I'm glad he did it but they're driving me nuts with it.
I also wanna bitch about EVRERYBODY now having a card in their back pocket to look at to tell what to do. EVEN pitchers have them now! With all the rules intended to speed up the game why on earth would they allow a pitcher to stop and fumble around for his card to see how to pitch a guy? I say that should count as a mound visit since that's what it would be without the goofy cards. Waino has Molina behind the plate. and they have been together forever, just throw what he puts down or shake it off til he gives you what you want, don't pull out a freakin card to tell you what to do.

Baseball is going to die if they don't figure out a way to speed it up. I'm telling you, after rolling with the Blues for the last few months...and now having to switch to MLB. Sheesh. Total snooze fest. And I'm a huge Birds and baseball fan.

Have to figure out a way to automate the K zone and call the pitches. Might have to increase the K zone as well. Force guys to try to put the ball in play. Bring action back to the game. Put a pitch clock up and stick to it too. Too damned much time between pitches. Walk off the mound, grab the rosin, stomp around, walk up, come set, step off, more rosin...Jesus, stay on the mound, get the ball back, and get on the rubber and throw it for crying out loud.

Now get off my porch you youngsters!!!

And stay outta my yard!!! Lol

Someone needs to play pepper with Carp for two hours a day and have him practice slapping the ball to 3rd base over and over again. And he needs to start chopping the ball to the left side until they move back to their regular positions.

Otherwise, require 2 infielders on both sides of second base. That is my preference.

What do you do with the foul tip call, or no call, and the check swing call, or no call, if you have the automated zone?

A censor in the homeplate can tell if the bat crossed the plate. Boom. We all set.

Where does all the tech crap stop? It's a game played by men and it should be officiated by men. Your censor still can't tell you if it's a foul tip or not. Replay takes more time than any pitcher ever has and I've seen many that I have no idea how the call that was made was correct. Just play the game and stop worrying about how long it takes.

I have no idea how you can watch a wrestling match on ice, with sticks, that ends up 1-0 after 2 or 3 hours and say how great the action is. I guess you must love you some soccer too. :p

Lets face it bro. Umps make mistakes that change the outcome of the game all the time. A ticky tack foul call puts your best player on the bench. An obvious strike call is missed and the guy who should be out hits a 3 run homer. Championships have been won and lost over and over by blown calls. The Rams had no business in the Super Bowl. Refs and umps suck. Players throw too hard and are too fast and strong for human officials to keep up.

I hate soccer. But I love hockey because the action is non stop. The guys go so hard they play about 2-3 mins a stretch and come out. They never stop moving and trying to hit each other. The way baseball is played now, you get a guy taking about 4-5 pitches, swinging once or twice an AB, a ball put in play 2 out of 3 ABs, and about 5 secs of “action” for every minute of game time. Something needs to change.

There’s still an ump back there. The zone is the only thing automated. Ducks check swing sensor works. Ump calls everything else. Could probably be more accurate too, if that’s the only calls they have to focus on.

Hockey is the most action packed game there is. A 1-0 game can have you on the edge of your seat the entire time

Baseball has become more of just an activity to me. They play way too many games. I can't get interested enough to watch a whole game anymore until closer to playoff time. And then they drag on so long is maddening.

Agreed. The season is way too long.
All of pro sports have seasons that should start later and end a full month earlier.

But that won’t happen ... too much revenue to give up for (often) meaningless games.

But the 'action' is guys skating around crashing onto each other. It might be a penalty once then it's not for the next 10 times. I don't see how that's fun to watch.

As a guy who appreciates well played basketball and football, watching hockey is the most painful, stressful thing I can imagine. It is just one turnover after another. Sloppy passes and misplays constantly. I cant stand it.
