Not since the new district points format, I don’t think; Thayer’s always a mid-high seed in their District (thanks to the 2-3 losses their conference schedule hands them) and Valle’s always tops in their district, so the Warriors always have more home playoff games come the quarters.

I see your logic, wait... no I don't.

So.... Thayer was turbo'd in WEEK 1, by a team that Valle beat.

Oh now I get, there's no way possible that a team could improve week to week over the course of the last 11 weeks. That's just unfathomable.

Not to mention.... Hayti doesn't play the same game that Valle does at all so.... different games, different strategies and different athletes.

I'm pulling for Thayer(obviously).

Will be interesting to see how this one goes down.

2016: Valle defeated Thayer 35-8

2015: Valle defeated Thayer 17-10

2013: Valle defeated Thayer 34-12(Thayer had 4 losses coming into that game)

Valle hasn't exactly "dominated" Thayer in recent years and these haven't even been Thayer's best teams so I suppose we'll see.

As of right now.... I would take Valle Catholic winning by 7 at the most.

I too would like to know if this game is being streamed. Will probably be going back and forth between Ava vs Lamar and this one.

Valle is softer than wet toilet paper. Was forced by my cousin to go watch them play Lamar. What a joke! Those Valle boys quit midway thru the 1st quarter. Couldn't handle getting hit. If Thayer can be physical, they'll at least keep it close.

I'd love to see Thayer give them a great game but I seriously doubt there will be any wet toilet paper involved when they are playing in the playoffs in their own classification. Anything is possible but that comparison is a stretch.

I watched them in Lamar,,,,the St gen boys were acting beat before kickoff and just wanted to get back on the bus and head home. They didn't want any part of getting hit

Valle wins by 2 touchdowns. They usually travel the day before to Thayer and spend the night not far away. Long bus ride shouldn't be a problem.

I remember riding a pep bus as a junior high student back in the early 80's. We got back to Ste. Gen around 3:00 am!

What is the story?

I was an assistant at Valle in 1995. I got the pleasure of scouting at Thayer on a Wednesday night. My partner and I made the trip and got to town and the power was out in most of the town. We ended up eating a burger at a bar in downtown Thayer that was cooked on a camping grill.
I think the power finally came back on and we went to Walmart before the game along with a trip to the fishing resort across the border in Arkansas.
That was a longggg time ago...

Thanks, I am pretty sure that last year's game was video streamed but I can't recall the details. I can't get the StL Post E-edition at the hotel we are at
