For awhile I kinda expected if these two were to meet that Thayer would walk right over them, but after Pc took care of business last week and Thayer somewhat struggled with Cabool, I'm not so sure anymore. I'm still picking Thayer just a lot less confident now then I would've been 5 weeks ago.

Think Pierce City will pull this one out. Thayer has played close games with below average teams.

I guarantee PC is as talented as Thayer. It will just come down to believing they can win. PC is very good on defense. It’s crazy but I swear everyone on their def is 5’10- 6’ and 170-190 pounds and fly to the football.

I wonder if Thayer got banged up in the Ava game or the game before. The results have been much different since then.
I too really believe PC is worth their high ranking. They have the best RB combo i've seen since Valle about 25 years ago. They have no real weaknesses unless it would be o-line but they aren't bad.
My gut says Thayer but if they aren't 100%, PC has the goods to get em.

Cabool played thayer within a touchdown last yr in district play. This will be a good game. Even with the sca down some, thayer schedule still better than pc, overall. Taking ava to ot impressive. Coach Webber will have them prepared. PC very quick, good speed at skills, turnovers and jig plays will be key.

Pierce City has had a pretty amazing season health wise. That's so important in Class 1.

They seem to have gotten better as the year went on. Miller ran back the opening kickoff in the rematch and PC shook that off and dominated a 9 and 1 squad that gave them fits a month earlier.

PC is 30-0 against teams not named Thayer the last three years. That is why I will only refer to them as the Bobcats, forthwith..

Other than in the loss to Ava the only real close game Thayer has played all year was with Cabool. And yeah Cabool finished 5-6 and the SCA might be down (although that's a misleading statement, down compared to year's previous? Yes. Down compared to the Big 8? Yes. Down compared to the SRVC? no...) But IMO Cabool would be a 7-3 or 8-2 team in the SRVC. So going to the wire with Cabool doesn't make me think anything negative about Thayer as it compares to how they match up with PC.

Down as in previous years. Yes many years cabool is a 6 plus win team in the other conference

Who is in the SRVC?

If Cabool was 8-2 in PCs league, they're about 40 pts worse than PC. That would make PC about 3TD favorites over Thayer. I don't believe that to be the case but the comparison probably means little.

Sure, I'm just saying a close game with Cabool shouldn't turn anyone off on Thayer.

Valle didn’t make it to the playoffs about 25 years ago. If I’m thinking what you are thinking that was around 30 years ago for Valle teams. But if you think no combo’s since then you haven’t watched much football.
