That thud you hear......

Mizzou offense on Lock down again.

8 straight 3 and outs in a home game. 1st round qbs and "Heisman candidates" don't do that.

Wasn't the Kentucky loss one of the most Mizzouest ever. The PI call at the end was like the fifth down and fleakicker calls rolled into one. Win that game and the SC game and Mizzou would be in position for a nice bowl. Hope the tigers can win out against Vandy, Tennessee, and the Pigs. That would give them 8 wins and a nice season, not the one we hoped for with Lock's final year, but nice to see nonetheless.

IF they do win the last 3 and everything else falls correctly they could move up quite a bit in the SEC bowl pecking order but their Jekyll and Hide act has to stop

Not really. EIGHT STRAIGHT 3 and outs with a first round QB at home vs a beatable opponent? That was one of the most dreadful things I have ever seen.

Agreed but as bad as they played and with all the terrible decisions made by players and coaches if that ref doesn’t make that terrible call in the end zone and then fail to make a call on the touchdown they would have won

It's human nature to scapegoat someone - in this case, the officials - when something doesn't go your team's way.

Ultimately, (and to @Duck_walk 's point) Mizzou put themselves in a position where EVERYTHING had to go their way in the final 3 minutes of the game because of their horrible 2nd half up and to that point. And, like most games for most teams, the script rarely plays out the way you want it to. And, then, your left wondering how you got into a spot where a call or two cost you a game.

In this case, the "how" is obvious - and it was Mizzou's fault.

Whoops fat finger. I’m not trying to scrapegoat the refs they certainly made less mistakes than Mizzou’s coaches and offense and special teams which is were the fault lies

The Kentucky and SC losses blew what SHOULD have been a very good season. All the Florida game did was show us what a disappointment the team is.
So true. It’s sorta like when that one really fast kid, who hardly ever practices at full effort, just blows everyone away in a sprint drill or something similar. He’s satisfied, and as the coach you’re just standing there wondering why he won’t do it everyday. Frustrating.

That said, that offense is so much different with Hall on the field.

Drew Lock now has more wins vs ranked opponents than Jarrod Goff or Patrick Mahomes had in their college careers...just saying.

College success and pro success are not really measurable at this point. I haven't seen many mock drafts that have him out of the first round?

Ppl who act like they are experts in football love stats. It don’t take stats to look at the kid and tell he can ball and is a 1rst round talent

Exactly. Yet, with a talent like that we have 8 straight 3 and outs at home. One decent drive out of those 8 and mizzou wins. @$!# )€*£#:;

As I watched them go into the locker room mouthing Kentucky, I thought to myself, well this game in going to go bad now...Just MIZZOU Karma....

At times he looks great but I kinda remember people say the same about some other cat I think his name was Blaine somethingorother

With the game on the line Saturday in the second half of the game against Vandy....

Drew Lock was....

11/13 for 157, two touchdowns and a TD run and One interception that was deflected.

Against Vandy.

Yep. A team Lock is supposed to play well against and Mizzou is supposed to beat.

Keep in mind, though, Vandy - despite their poor W/L record is not quite the easy out you might be thinking they are:

Lost at (3) ND by 1 score
Lost to (15) FU by 2 scores
Lost at (11) UK by 1 score

Not at all. I didn't think they were an easy out for MU. They're not great (or really all that good for that matter), but the style they play keeps them in most games. You said it right, Lock is supposed to perform well against them. And he did.

That was another sad performance for mizzou. Lets be real.
It's always good to win in the SEC, even in the East. But I can't imagine many came away feeling good about the process involved. The result was a W, and that's always a good thing.

Sec east is the 2nd best division in college football
