VB, 3R, Kaskaskia, a few others that I just haven't seen on here... thank you for being reasonable, up for discussion, and willing to find some common ground here and there.

Thanks for not wishing death on Trump or his supporters.

Thanks for not telling us we deserve kidney stones, or that our wife is cheating on us.

I'm sure we could have a meal and enjoy a conversation.

Too bad one apple on here is an absolute troll by all definitions.

Let’s take New Jersey

According to the governor. New Jersey has lost 4,070 people to the coronavirus in just six weeks. "That's more than the CDC statistics show that we have lost over the past three flu seasons in their entirety.”

One person with COVID-19 has the ability to infect many others. According to the governor, once someone is exposed to the virus it can take up to two weeks for them to develop symptoms. They may have infected many others before they even have a symptom, this is not common with the flu.

Your constant focus on mortality rate is ignoring the cost and suffering of those who get sick but survive.

The hospitalization rate for COVID-19 is also drastically higher than the flu. The hospitalization rate for the flu is "about one tenth of one percent of cases," Murphy said, noting that the current hospitalization rate of COVID-19 is roughly 10%. That means that a person with COVID-19 is about 100 times more likely to be hospitalized than a person with the flu, according to the governor.

The mortality rate is low for 20-somethings, yet there have been a significant number of hospitalizations of younger patients across the globe.

Concentrated populations have more people.
Since I'm not dead, and plan to live till morning. God only knows, statistically the deaths per 1 million America ranks 12th. There's more data that casts doubt on the effectiveness of the lockdown and it's been covered here.
