Thank you Monett Cubs!

Plenty of congrats have been shared already, but I wanted to take this opportunity to THANK the Monett Cubs for a thrilling championship game that made for a much more exciting Thanksgiving weekend for me and my son!

No offense Lamar, but I expected you to win (still helped to make it a memorable Thanksgiving )

I'm not from Lamar, but I was there supporting them Friday. I have to tell you, when I saw all those Monett jerseys walking up the steps on the East side stands before the game started, then sit together and enthusiastically Cheer on the Lamar Tigers, that impressed the HELL out of me.

Yeah, I understand its one "Big 8 Conference" Team supporting another and all, but they didn't have to do it. I imagine Lamar did it also, but I do hope the Tigers returned that favor Saturday.

I really enjoy it when teams from the same conference do that. When I played, we made it to quarterfinals and had a HUGE game against Platte County. I remember seeing jerseys/letter jackets from various other conference teams cheering us on. Its a great sign of respect and conference support!
