He starts to hit the ball better but still can't RUN when he should be busting it on every play. Why he was loafing down the first base line on his blooper to left is beyond me. He ended up on 3rd after the Phils threw it around like little leaguers but should have been thrown out easily all because he trotted to 1st.

It was hot here but not there, it was 70 degrees at game time. Seems to be contagious though, today Jay was on 1st and stopped at 2nd on a ground ball hit to RF while the "speedster" Holliday scored from 2nd. Even the right fielder was shocked when he saw Jay standing on 2nd base after he hit the cutoff man throwing toward home.
