Did that really just happen??? Sweep of the Cubbies! With two extra inning walk off jobs? Wow, what a fun series!
Heard this morning Norris didn't think it was anything serious. That was comforting. Also comforting to see Holland look good. Pham's injury worries me. That's something that could linger. And Yadi, ouch. That's scary stuff. Not sure what the Birds record is when Yadi is out, but I'd venture a guess it's a good bit worse than when he's in the lineup. Just hope Kelly gets the next 4-6 weeks as the regular.Fun to watch! Hope injuries don't become a theme. Many key players have plenty of room to improve so it is an exciting start.
These next 4+ weeks will be big for Kelly. If Pham misses significant time that would be bad.Heard this morning Norris didn't think it was anything serious. That was comforting. Maybe Bader will step up and get something done. I mean besides that awesome throw from CF to keep a runner at 1st base. He did everything just right, backed up and caught the ball with momentum going forward and unleashed a powerful throw ... straight to the pitcher. At least he had a sense of humor about it.These next 4+ weeks will be big for Kelly. If Pham misses significant time that would be bad.
I really like Bader and the way he plays. Seems to be fairly humble through the learning stages. I’d be surprised if he didn’t wind up being a good major league player. If he can hit enough in Pham’s absence, could go a long way to get himself more at bats if Fowler continues on his current path. Gotta think he and Gyorko could see a good bit more time.Maybe Bader will step up and get something done. I mean besides that awesome throw from CF to keep a runner at 1st base. I'd like to think you're right but I'll have to see to believe it.I really like Bader and the way he plays. Seems to be fairly humble through the learning stages. You and me both. I swear, I think the Birds just win in spite of some really bad lineups and decisions. Good starting pitching and timely hitting sure do go a long way.I'd like to think you're right but I'll have to see to believe it.
