I know PC and Miller have a lot of starters back from last year. I was wondering what the other teams have coming back. Pierce City has to be the favorite though. I think the conference as a whole should be better this year.

Agree with your assessment. Rumors are that one of Millers key pieces will miss the year. Both PC and Miller should be pretty peppery though.

Sarcoxie played Pierce City close last year. Thinking the Bears are a program on the rise. Curious to see the number of players out for each squad.

From what I read on the Ozone most of the teams in the conference return a lot of starters. Should be a lot of good games. PC vs Lockwood week 1 should be interesting.

Marionville was pretty solid last year when their QB was healthy. I think he was a Soph too.

Big game right off the bat. Pierce City then has Sarcoxie and Marionville at home and @Miller. 7 kids gonna be 4 year starters at PC this year, good bunch..

I think the mobile QB that was hurt a lot last year was a Sr. He was a good Lb as well. The sophomore Qb they had did throw the ball well.

I noticed he wasn't touted in the O-zone piece on the Comets. They should still be solid if not great.

I was at the jamboree in Sarcoxie last Friday, and granted, it was just a jamboree BUT Pierce City was head and shoulders above Lockwood in both athleticism and performance.

Lockwood didn’t really perform well against any of the teams they faced there, to be honest.

Not saying that they performed terrible, just didn’t perform well in comparison to others.

How did Sarcoxie look?

Sarcoxie was very physical and performed well, but were spotty in consistency, they would look really solid for about 3-4 plays, and then the next 3-4 they would seem gassed and get pushed around.

The refs were also quite lenient, against a couple of different teams last Friday, Sarcoxie would have had some personal fouls if it was a typical Friday night.

I’m not hating on it, I love the physicality, just something I noticed.

It was a neat jamboree to go to. 6 teams and a great facility and a good turnout.
