Haven’t seen one yet, so I went ahead and made a spreadsheet for the year.

Ash Grove at Diamond
Marionville at Pleasant Hope
Miller at Cabool
Lockwood at Pierce City
Houston at Sarcoxie

Not in Southwest as far as I know. I thought they were joining Mid Lakes?

They play Greenfield this week. Most of rest is Mid Lakes teams. Pleasant Hope is only SWC team on schedule

Ash Grove - Diamond rarely starts with a bang

Marionville -Might as well start the JV.

Cabool - I have no idea what they have, but Lasalle left Miller which usually means all the talent is gone.

Lockwood - I think this is the one that will shock people. I’m hearing some excitement from friends in LW, and I know PC lost a lot to graduation.

Sarcoxie - Haven’t heard much about either team so I guess I’ll favor the SWC rep

Greenfield should be in the SWC. How good is Lockwood? Sarcoxie and Diamond are dark horses as is Marionville. PC is going to have tough year.

I’m just glad the conference will be more competitive; sounds like several teams could have a shot at knocking down Thayer for once.
Ozone sounded pretty high on Lockwood - big class of seniors, lots of talent across the board. If they’re going to make any noise, better do it this year.

Lockwood has good size and speed. I don't know if they are much beyond just a district champion. Probably will be the favorite to win the SWC.

Is Greenfield leaving the new Southwest Conference this season? Calpreps and Maxpreps had them as part of the conference.

Appears you nailed that one. OUCH
Only 20 kids out. Had mid 30’s last year. Going to be long year. Milller might be 8 man in a few years if they don’t get more boys out. 9-12 has over 200 students and only 20 out for football. I think Jr high has more kids out than high school..

Its a trend in rural areas. A little bird told me another school down that way may go 8 man after this year due to talent/numbers graduating

everyone in Miller knows it was going to be a long year..lost complete front line. Cabool was big, strong and fast from what i seen in the first quarter. we left right after that. we are not as strong, not anywhere as big but i believe Miller has some speed. Hats off to Cabool they are ready to compete this year..
Miller was not close to ready.. new coach, new system, 3 returning starters...
lets see what week 2 and the weeks for the rest of the year brings.. they are hampered with what i believe to be a big piece out for close to the rest of the season...
The coaches have film to review and would say from what i have seen from Coach Hansen so for he will be burning the midnight oil for awhile....
