Can you tell me how Texas and the other states involved in this suit have any standing to try to throw out the votes in other states? That sound completely bonkers to me. Do they really wan to have a do over in all the down ballot races that would have to disqualified too? Why on earth do so many people think the does stole the presidential election but lost seat in the house and could still not have control of the senate? If they were going to cheat it would have been much more beneficial for them to steal the senate and house races and not nearly so noticeable.

"Next up for conservatives" will lead to an enormous landslide Dem win in 2024 (just like '08 and '12). Trump was such a political powerhouse (I know he lost this year, but he still got 74 million people to vote for him) because of his opportunistic populism. No other republican candidate will be able to replicate that. If Republicans want to win in 2024, it is clear they have to go Trumpy or dang close to it. I think their best odds lie with Don Jr or Ted Cruz/Ron DeSantis doing Trump impressions. The Tom Cottons/Josh Hawleys/Nikki Haleys of the world would get destroyed by a any decent dem candidate (I actually don't think Kamala will be their candidate in '24).

Possibly but if Biden doesn't turn around the economy or it back slides even further anyone on the Democratic side might not be electable either.

But that wasn't my point really. It's that politicians come and go that is the nature of the beast.

TBH it will really depend on if Joe survives the next 4 years. If she has stepped into that position I think it would be much harder to beat her in the primaries in 2024.

Tim Scott/Jim Jordan. The Dems could not offer anything close to that level of integrity and competence.

Jordan? Integrity? I understand that Trump has demolished any sense of normalcy and decency on the right, but Jim Jordan deserves to be ostracized as much as Mike McQueary was if not more.

Tim Scott will never win a GOP primary, but I agree he's a good candidate for conservatives. Ultimately, I think it's Cruz's to lose. He's setting himself up nicely for that Trump stamp of approval.

The down ballot races are not affected since other states have no standing to sue over elections that don't affect them.
