Thanks, we are always looking for good places to eat, and if you ever saw us two you would know that.
It will depend on where we are at lunch and dinner time.

Check out the Dew Drop Inn in tiny Bloomsdale, Mo...about 10 miles N of Ste Genevieve and right on Hwy 55. Great atmosphere, great food, and the owner is the wife of Valle Catholic football coach Judd Naeger.

A little over 500 miles today and 22 schools

Spending night in Kennett and we will get their field in the morning

Couple of things we noticed. Lot of baseball in the southeast are have all grass infields, including the running paths. School also down here have a lot of buildings, some have 5-7 building. We could tell that most baseball/softball fields have not been use.

Day two tomorrow, head deeper into the boot.

Actually, it’s called the BOOTHEEL. Look at the map and you’ll see why.

Sounds like a great trip. Right through where I grew up.

I love to go in the old gymnasiums. Just the feeling when you’re in there. If the floors could talk, the great games etc.

Happened to be in the old Marston gym a few months ago. School is no longer there. But pics and trophies still in the gym which is now a community building. It was probably built in 40’s or before. Very interesting.

Gotta love great memories, asbestos, and lead based paint!

Love the updated version, but a part of me longs for cigarette vending machines and foosball tables...

I can still hold my own on a foosball table. Went down a youtube rabbit hole recently. The way they play defense now  .

Used to play about an hour a day during lunch for 5 years. Played with my brother a few times at the Strafford Inn tourneys....Need to buy a decent one.

Raw, we have 2 rib places now. Hickory Log still there and Dexter Bar B Que is owned by a guy that used to work for the Hickory Log. Similar taste and I will leave it at that....

My wife's grandparents owned it originally and it was sold to John Banken (current owner) and Audry Fralick (gone 15 or 20 years now). She never thought about the rub recipe and in all honesty we can take them or leave them (familiarity breeds contempt) HA!
