OK, I will try and get you up to speed since you obviously swallow the New York Times.
This like one of 5 or 6 key points that are going around. There are all kinds of strained logic by the Democrat response and Media to turn this into a loss for Trump. Like for example the Democrat response to the plane tragedy is Collateral damage (theory), Passengers murdered by DT (theory), John Kerry, diplomacy was working until Trump abandoned it lies(theory).
For example, vast outbreaks of Iranian terrorism happened all over the region. Additional development of ballistic weaponry that Kerry promoted and lied to us about. The false claim that had Trump left the nuclear deal in place Iran would not develop nuclear weapons.
Finally, The Iran deal wasn't even a band-aid it was a misdirection and the Iran regime is cancer and somehow Obama Kerry had empowered the moderates.
The War Powers (theory) nonbinding initiative that Pelosi called Trump the aggressor. I do agree that Mike Lee is consistent in his interpretation of the War Powers in the Const. but Pelosi is just full of it. She supported a full scale war in Lybia like 5 minutes ago.

You know the ones that were not super exercised about Obama's drone war. Like why is Trump so mean killing the mullahs, a man legally identified as a terrorist? Yes, I remember Libya war where it ended with the ambassador dead, and the legitimate government ended up offshore governing from an oil tanker. It happened, I remember. If you ask the average American if we were at war with Libya? they are like what? It was 6 years ago. Then there's Chris Mathews, that guy compared the death of Soliemani to Elvis and Princess Diane.
Chris Murphy tweets, Trump is weak (when his war ended with the Embassy burning in Baghdad), then after the Iranians attacked the Embassy, he tweeted this is Trump's Benghazi. Then last night at his rally, Trump basically said this was not my Bengahzi because I am not a pansy.

The repubs are usually great at staying on message but they blew this one. They have had 3 or 4 different stories in the past 3 days for why the General was assassinated.
When they briefed congress they didn’t say a thing about embassy bombings. Then the next day it’s one embassy according to Pompeo and then it became 4 from Trump.
People don’t believe Trump nor Pompeo at all.

I heard the Pompeo interview on CNN. I won't replay it but I will say, a President can kill a terrorist without a threat of imminence. Osama was not and Imminent threat. The intel on his whereabouts was not strong according to the accounts reported. A terrorist job is plan terrorism but it would be nice to get the reports confirming the terrorist's exact next move. My concern is the perception put forth that Trump Admin. are the aggressors.

Those two men command nuclear weapons, not much you can do about it now short of nuclear war.
