Homecookin Roadcookin NO Cookin....it makes no difference... no one in Missouri is beating Strafford.. no one is close
I would like to see them play Jefferson City. I still don't think it'd be a game though, since Strafford has pummeled common opponents that JC played close.
They need to play Incarnate Word.
They should at least get one more win before putting their streak on the line.
The rest of their schedule is actually the easist part before post season.
PLEASEEEEEEEEEE let JC vs Strafford happen.. Sale out Crowd too!!!!!! They could both pick a team and drop (those 2 teams play each other) and it could happen!!!!
I guess the only way to compare at this point is common opponents (Whitfield and Ritter). Strafford destroyed both teams...... jeff city won by 12 and 9. They should at least get one more win before putting their streak on the line.
Has the senior group ever lost in their career? That would be amazing if they went their entire career without losing a game.
Only 2 like opponents are Parkview and Kickapoo. JC beat Kickapoo 55-51 and Strafford beat them 68-43. JC beat Parkview 54-27 and Strafford beat them 61-39. What an atmosphere that would be if JC and Strafford would play.
Nothing against JC, but I don’t see them being competitive with Strafford. JC struggled to get past Kickapoo when Kickapoo’s young and guard-depleted team was really struggling at the beginning of the year. The only team in the state that is a good match with Strafford is Incarnate Word.
Incarnate Word only beat an average Whitfield by 12 in late December. I think it would be better than most think. I think Strafford has trouble with JC size and strength.
Thats funny, JC and their size and strength beat Kickapoo by 4... Strafford beat them by 25
My point is you can create all the scenarios you want but there is no way to know. If JC wins State, then you can speculate all you want. Size, speed, etc doesn’t matter. It’s about adjustments, IQ and skill. Those things will win games. Strafford has proven that time and time again. They are rarely the quickest team or the biggest team. They are more skilled than people realize. Plenty of teams as good or better than JC have tried and failed. It’s like the Lebron or MJ debate....lol... unless you see them play and see what they can do, you dont know. Comparing scores is the only way to consider how close they are, and yes I know thats silly because scoring is effected by a lot of things. I was just giving an example of how we wont know. I do know that Strafford has a very tough schedule and for the last two years, they have tried to make it even tougher but some schools wont play them. With the “streak” hanging over their heads, they chose to make it as tough a road as they could. Im certain that if JC or IC wanted a piece, Strafford would have gladly obliged.
And I am saying that you did compare 1 score.... So did I.... You look at all the scores however you want it is irrelevant, but again your post was a waste of time because you compared just 1 common opponent and not the other. You can not even really take 1 game into consideration when teams play because anyone can be beat on a given night. Both are great teams and JC would match up well with their 3 D-1 basketball players and another D-1 softball player. My only point is that they match up evenly and would love to see the game played. Total respect and congrats to the ladies of Strafford on an unbelievable run over the last 4 years. What they have done is remarkable and I hope they finish it holding up the championship trophy.

Frank's came over in 7th grade when Steve was hired as HC
Mullings came from Pleasant Hope
Chittenden came from Springfield Catholic
Doorman came from Nebraska
They aren't exactly home grown. I am curious if the Crane group that won all the titles were all there in elementary together?
And I'm not saying there is anything wrong with anything they've done or are doing. They are the most efficient HS team I've ever seen and it's a thing of beauty to watch. I would love to see a Strafford vs Incarnate or JC game. I've had a chance to see all three play this year and I think Strafford would win, but I would not be surprised if they were to lose to either. Both Incarnate and JC are very good and I think they would be great games.

To clarify... Mullings came after 8th grade when her dad was hired at Strafford. She had just come off a fractured back and was out of it for about a year. Hardly a “recruit”
Chit came after her dad was hired as a teacher. Who could blame her after Catholics attempt to recruit the last 3 years was a disaster...

What Crane did was special. Special kids! Class 2 with the exception of that Crane group and Skyline is a joke compared to the competitive level of Class 3. Tough to compare, but the Strafford kids Idolize those Crane kids and have the utmost respect for what they did.
That's what everybody said right before Neelyville showed up in the Final 4 last season. All the talk on here was no one in class 2 to could close to Skyline. Two of teams Neelyville had to beat to get there were no slouches either but only one could go.
I agree! I was one who thought Skyline would definitely win. Neelyville proved me wrong!! They look good.
Neelyville lost TWO big cogs in there wheel this year but I won't count them out until it happens. Fowler graduated and is at 3 Rivers playing well, Dodd is recovering from ACL surgery and has committed to 3 Rivers for next fall and Chaylea Mosby from Dexter has signed with 3 Rivers for next fall too.
