Look deeper...and look at who controls the cities where that gun violence actually occurs!
Clearly he doesn't understand the constitution and the difference between a Right given by that document and a privilege granted by the state per laws.
Start tackling the problems in the cities where most but not all the problems are occurring. Addressing the car theft problems in Dade county doesn’t help Springfeild much.

Yes you are correct deep red states with the high crimes and violence in cities mostly ran by democrats.
I don’t know but part of me thinks it’s a numbers game. I noticed that if you do per cap of 100,000 or more it is smaller towns. Springfeild even makes some of the list. Are larger cities divided up by each town that makes the metro?
Again the states don't have control of those Blue cities and their local govt's....it's a Democratic party problem they have no idea how to prevent poverty and violence.
But not Red controlled local govt. You know this....don't blame the Govern and State Rep's for the Mayor/City Manager and Alderman issues at the local level of not using the Millions of Federal Dollars to combat poverty in a effective manner or to utilize a proper LEO plan to stop violence.
