Booker had 28 alone for Steelville coming off a loss to St. James a couple days ago wasn’t going to lose 2 in a row

This is a stunning score for a CJ team that was within 2 of Nixa with a minute to go. I wonder what happened?

Saw it in person. Steelville got off to a slow start but CJ was unable to figure out Steelville's 1-3-1. They became increasingly frustrated and in the 2nd quarter Steelville started hitting shots, Booker controlled the paint and was dominant, Church saw the floor well and hit every open teammate, Perkins got going late, and other role players contributed to a lopsided Steelville performance.

If you saw the game I am sure you could tell that CJ is dependent on 1 girl to score. If she isn't playing well CJ is easy to beat.

So Carl Junction does not like the 1-3-1 I would assume? Congratulations to Steelville. Good win. On to the Fatima tourney.

Steelville runs one of the best 1-3-1's most teams will see. If a team can't score from the outside or force turnovers for easy baskets, they are going to struggle badly against it. It sounds like that's what happened to CJ.

If Booker stays close to her averages in points and rebounds and the Lady Cards hit a few outside shots to keep teams honest... they have a shot at making a deep run in class 3. They are a good team with some depth and experience. Looking forward to seeing what they do in Fatima next.
