Is it just me, or does it seem like there are a TON of offensive fouls being called today? I noticed several against both teams in the SCC-Crane game, and I've seen several against NMCC in this game so far. Maybe it's just me.
I thought the same thing. One of the reasons I believe it stood out to me is the kids definately go to the basket much more than I am used to watching so I figured that could be one reason. It didn't seem the coaches questioned many of the calls so I figure most were legit.
Can remember at least a dozen. Watched almost all of the six boys semis. Missed the second half of the late game. Thought maybe half of the charges called were actually charges. Two or three there wasn't nearly enough to warrant a whistle. The others were obvious blocks. Far too much athleticism and speed on the floor for some of the officials that were calling the games.
KIDS TODAY WILL NOT PULL UP AND TAKE THAT 7 TO 10 FOOT SHOT. Do the coaches teach them to go to the whole and kick.
I saw this with my very own eyes and couldn't believe it. In St. James a couple of weeks I saw 3 offensive charging calls on 3 consecutive possessions. It seems to me the real good players pull up and take the shot.
One other thing. Watch kids set a screen and come off of a screen. It's terrible. I believe kids todays fundamentals are very weak.
