Just read the many football games cancelled this Friday. It is like a game called to find an opponent that can play. 8 man football 12 of the 32 teams are not playing. At least 6 teams in the St. Charles area are not playing due to COVID. Some teams south of St. Louis have missed the last 2 weeks. 2 football coaches who were very sick for the last 3 weeks have been cleared to coach. It will be amazing if we make it to Nov. still playing high school football.

Scheduling might have been too ambitious and needed some bye weeks built in toward the end for make up games. I am afraid College Football will have the same problem.

Webb has 2 staff members and 16 students quarantined at the high school at the present time. If numbers stay that low it shouldn’t be an issue.

They only have 16? Carl Junction has close to 100 and kids from those 2 schools hang out all of the time. This tells me Webb City isn't being very strict.

They have a dashboard on their website showing the totals for each building. Both of my grandkids are quarantined at home until midnight Friday by the Jasper County Health Dept. they have closed one building down completely for almost 2 weeks so I wouldn’t say they aren’t taking it serious

One SCA school I saw, maybe Cabool? Parkview had to cancel their next two weeks due to positive cases and quarantine situations. In other sports in SWMO you have already seen a handful of softball and volleyball teams in similar situations. Honestly though, it's kinda just luck at this point. Most teams seem to abide by similar guidelines and protocol. You're either going to be lucky enough to avoid a positive case, or you arent...

Some of its luck, some of its being responsible. I saw the news the MICDS interview kids were wearing masks while practicing, and kids openly talked of not hanging out in large groups for a chance to play. It takes everyone in the community to be responsible to avoid outbreaks and I can tell from my time in rural parts of Missouri , not many take it serious, I get looks when I wear a mask into a gas station etc. it’s habit for me now to have it on anywhere inside. This isn’t me being better than anyone, but it’s habits like these that help kids continue to play

Cabool is now coming to Windsor to play on Friday. They were scheduled to play Houston.
