Some of the ignored content and it really did nothing but reaffirm my decision to ignore some posters on this forum. They add nothing to any conversation.
Do not miss the nonsense.

You don't actually have to put them on ignore. I just don't respond to certain posters but leave the option in case they have a miraculous change and post something of value. Some of the ignored content and it really did nothing but reaffirm my decision to ignore some posters on this forum. I agree there isn't any value to their posts. I just think ignore is for snowflakes.I've seen nothing worth taking them off ignore.

You could just pull a SadButTrue and report them and get them banned.I've seen nothing worth taking them off ignore.

Bet you can't say the same though.
You do as you wish...but I've never ever put a user on ignore on any message board. No matter how much I disagree with them, believe them to be intellectually deficient in their reasoning, or a Flavor Aid drinking zealot who allows ideology to cloud their opinion. I do want to read/hear what they have to say because at times they do get things correct or I find a nugget of wisdom in their beliefs that lead to a change in mine.
To totally dismiss or ignore does a disservice to Free thinking and civil discourse. But to each is Own.
My experience on this site has improved dramatically since ignoring a few posters. I'm all for discourse and differing opinion, but that can be done in a civil manner. I don't ignore Duck, I just ignore a few of his less courteous alter egos.
With Duck it is his belief system or nothing, and he is not open to discussion. However I don't ignore him and I find myself reading what he post. I try to be open to others ideas, I don't have all the answers. I don't think anybody does.
What I think is laughable is that Duck put me on ignore because he clearly didn't have the chops, intelligence or experience to have a open and civil discussion with me on Gov. Funded healthcare...AKA he is a quitter.
