This game is filled with intrigue for the Kansas City HS FB fan. Staley ran over Mill Valley last year and blanked them 35-0. Has Mill Valley learned something good from last years defeat? No secret that Staley's defense is top notch and the offense is really good. Staley's only loss came to powerful Fort Osage in which they outplayed Fort for most of the game as seen on TV.
Mill Valley has played only 4-0 games to Staley's 6 (5-1). That can't be advantage. Is this the best Border War this season?
Mill Valley has notable victories over Derby(KS) and Aquinas (KS) IDK how Mill Valley would stack up against the elite teams of Sunflower Conference. This looks like a one-sided affair but who knows. Mill Valley has a much smaller # of players on their roster than Staley. But it only takes 11.
Mill Valley is ranked by the Media on PrepKC #1 in KS Class 5A beating #4 Derby a 3-1 ranked Class 6 team.
1. Mill Valley, 4-0, 1
2. Bishop Carroll, 2-1, 3
3. St. Thomas Aquinas, 2-2, 2
4. Pittsburg, 4-0, 4
5. St. James Academy, 4-0, 5
Does Missouri have the advantage over KS schools in regards to contact days? Didn't matter much with the great Hutch teams who beat Rock.
