Staley @ Liberty North...

Have the Falcons (I am at work) involved Elam a whole bunch tonight?
I had commented to you after the jamboree that Staley is running a much more balanced offense so far this season. The last TD scored in the game tonight by Staley was a deep ball to a WR. Elam to me has stood out more on defense tonight.

Bet that check still cashes

Don't hate the man for doing what's best for himself/his family. Jones is a great coach - tough luck drawing Staley for his initial game & opening a new stadium. A Jones coached Kearney team would have beaten that Fort Team by at least two TDs (Jones would never have let that qb take the field.)

Very early, Fort had talent that K could not match.
Give "everyone" a chance at least until the second game. ;)

From what I understand Fort didn't have Iloilo so went primarily pass with much success because they have a pair of speedy WRs and a good QB. I am more interested in seeing how Kearney fares vs. its own class and that begins with Ray South this Friday. The Cards gave them all they wanted last year and brought a lot of talent back.

I was at the K game and was impressed by the not only fast but "super quick" wide out.

Fort's QB was very good at running the offense but the bulldogs inability to get pressure early in the game hurt them in the end with such a dynamic receiver/kick returner/all everything.

On the bright side, FtO was a very good C5 team.

Considering being overmatched on the D-line and dazzled by their skill players K-Town was in it till the end.

Eight weeks from now this team will only get better.

Kearney has an established program and they will continue to be good no matter who coaches them. Jones didnt make K good ....he maintained it . Once you get that winning tradition established and the kids buy in , it rolls downhill unless you have a totally inept coach. Its annoying to me (a Webb fan) to see Kearney fans bash the coach and qb. Its week 1 and you barely lost to a great team ...give them some slack

I agree just knew coming into the season QB would be the big question mark. The regular season is just window dressing for the FB that really matters anyway. I have always been a big Coach Gray fan and feel this team will improve. As I have already stated a couple of other times this Friday will be the real test of where the team stands. Staley is the undeniable #1 in C5 in the KC metro but Fort could be all the way back and contend...........plan 100 percent to attend when these two match up later this season.

Peering ahead to Week 4 I am thinking road trip down to Harrisonville as they host Platte County.

Only been there a couple of times, one being the first ever C4 matchup for Harrisonville. At the time no one on the wildcats team had "ever" lost a game at (C3).

Makes a good trivia question ...

Who did they choose as their "first ever" C4 matchup?

Who won?
