They didn't win their 2nd game until the 2nd week of February. Coach played up all season though. Looks like the strategy paid off.

If your goal is winning championships over just games, playing tougher competition is always better than running through a soft schedule. As long as you don’t lose the morale of your kids it can pay dividends.

Much respect to Pius, always play a tough schedule. Higginsville vs. Pius in the Quarters, btw.

Good game last night, Huskers were the better team but Pius had a good game plan and stayed close through about three quarters or more. 6 point game at halftime, then Pius opened with a three to close to 3 points. im not sure it got any closer than that but the Huskers only shot 8 of 24 from the free throw line or it could have been worse. Final was 59-43.
