What an unusual year...will there be a new trend? Only 2-7 since 2002. Will we see more of St. Louis in Class 4 in the future? Uh...no. Half of the time St. Louis schools have made it in, they have been blown out.

2002: No STL School in Final
2003: Kearney 43 Ladue 0 (0-1)
2004: Clayton 27 Webb 26 (1-1)
2005 Camdenton 36 Afton 19 (1-2)
2006 No STL School in Final
2007 Lee's Summit West 35 Parkway Central 0. (1-3)
2008 No STL School in Final
2009 No STL School in Final
2010 Webb 56 Warrenton 7 (1-4)
2011 Webb 56 MICDS 42 (1-5)
2012 No STL School in Final
2013 No STL School in Final
2014 No STL School in Final
2015 No STL School in Final
2016 No STL School in Final
2017 Webb 14 Ladue 0 (1-6)
2018 Ladue MICDS (2-7)

Notice this isnt the case in Class 6,5,3. Most of the Public schools are too big to be in Class 4 and the small private schools are usually 2 or 3. (Mainly 3)
With the recent reclassification its a lot more football schools in class 4. You see it instantly resulted in an all class 4 final.

Nice Try though.

Not exactly dominating Class 6 either...only 7 champions since 2002. Nice try though.
Ladue has been there before and gotten their asses handed to them. What does that have to do with reclassication? Honestly, most of us in the West look at the eastern challenger in the finals as a formality. The real championships have been in the semis.

I never said we dominated anything??? Are you not reading????? Only Ladue, MICDS, Clayton and like Westminster Christian are STL Class 4 schools every year. This year they added many more schools like Hazelwood East, Parkway North etc. class 4 has had the least St Louis representation so it stands to reason they’ll have limited championships.

Nice Try Though. (Why do I love arguing so much, pls help)

Yeah, 2 in 17 years is pretty limited.

Class 3 since 2002: Only three St. Louis Schools have won Class 3. It IS the case in Class 3. Fourteen champs from the West. The West OWNS Class 3 and Class 4. Period.

Class 5 since 2002: St. Louis with 7 of the 17 titles.
Class 6 7 titles.
NICE TRY though!.

I don’t understand why everybodies trying to act like St Lou was lucky this year. Anybody who follows football can give most of there teams the eye test and see they are awesome across the board. It was only a matter of time before some great coaches moved in and clearly that’s what’s happening. They’ve always recruited and I don’t blame them, there public schools suck ass if I was a parent I’d do the same thing. They aren’t going to dominate the state but prepare for some awesome football in years to come from this region.

It’s a great thing guys, 10 years ago it was always who comes out of the West between KC and SWMO. “Football participation is down” across the state yet at the same time the state has never been richer geographically with quality teams.

I hopped on the Ladue bandwagon two years ago and got grief from some for even daring to predict they would win this year. And they aren't done just yet but won't be quite as formidable in 2019.

TRASH argument. St Louis Class 3 schools are just the Metro league schools Lutheran North (2002-2013), John Burroughs, Berkley? Trinity, Cardinal Ritter thats it. My point still stands as majority of St Louis schools are Large schools, NOT SMALL, so 14 of the 34 Class 5/6 coming from the same Area of the state is solid....

NICEEEEEEEE TRYYYYYYYY THOOOOOOOO

Nice try...but you are contradicting yourself from above, and I quote:

"Notice this isnt the case in Class 6,5,3. Most of the Public schools are too big to be in Class 4 and the small private schools are usually 2 or 3. (Mainly 3)"

Baaaaaaahhhh! Penalty for illegal contradiction of oneself.

Whatchoo talkin' bout, Willis?

I won't go into the ridicule I got when Calpreps put them at #1 in like week 7, and I dared to post that.

I remember watching that game. Was a good one.

That was like Kearney 2003 taking on Josh Freeman (K-State, Tampa Bay) of Grandview...the only team that got close to not being turbo clocked by K that year.
Actually Hickman Mills was only down 14-6 at half.............then the second half of course happened.
