With more than a dozen Division I programs in pursuit and a
pair of offers in hand CBC (St. Louis) senior center is excited for his senior
campaign. The No. 17 prospect in the Rivals.com Missouri Top 20 rankings
is
Andrew Ness, a 6-foot-4 inch, 298-pound line prospect.
A three-star Rivals.com recruit, Ness holds offers from Rice
and Southern Methodist and is receiving recruiting interest from Akransas, Iowa
State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Michigan State, Purdue, Stanford,
Vanderbilt, and others.
"SMU is pretty high up on my list. I am looking for a school
with good academic program and the school and the campus stood out to me," said
Ness to the PonyPride.com staff. "I really like Coach Klemm and Coach
Morrison."
Before heading back to Missouri, Ness put on a solid showcase at the Fort Worth
Nike Showcase on Sunday. He competed against and alongside some of the best
talent in the Metroplex as well as the region and held his own.
"One thing about me is I have great technique. My dad (who is also his offensive
line coach) used to coach in college and he has been coaching me since I was a
little kid on how to play on the offensive line," he said.
A solid student with a 3.43 GPA and a 24 ACT score, Ness is
ranked 14th in the nation by Rivals.com at the Center position.
