I'm very glad to see it... I hope they continue to have success !Anyone got a chance to watch them? They have a running back being recruited by Iowa State. They haven't played anyone but are 4-0! When did that happen last?
I believe 1986. Nice feel good story, unfortunately ended up in Class 6 which won't end well come districts.Anyone got a chance to watch them? They have a running back being recruited by Iowa State. They haven't played anyone but are 4-0! When did that happen last?
Not yet but I have seen one of their very close game opponents Raytown. Central is a very nice story but extremely far from a C6 contender.Anyone got a chance to watch them? They have a running back being recruited by Iowa State. They haven't played anyone but are 4-0! When did that happen last?
Fort will be all over Central. They were very fortunate to beat the same Raytown you all beat very easily last night.Just saw they beat NKC. They play Fort next week so that is a ? and have Oak Park , but shouldn't have any problems with Truman and Excelsior. Even if they lose in first round of C6 districts they would have a 7-3 or 8-2 season. When is the last time they had a record like that?
I'm always holding out hope Ruskin or Truman can have a turnaround story.
Forts starting qb is injured and their offense is going to be pretty one dimensional until he comes back.Fort will be all over Central. They were very fortunate to beat the same Raytown you all beat very easily last night.
They raised some eye brows last season and returned almost their entire starting line up this year. Would contend if still in Class 5 but their season comes to an end against Liberty North in the Quarterfinals. Still a darn good team!Question of the Day: when did Oak Park get competitive?
Ugh sorry to hear................Forts starting qb is injured and their offense is going to be pretty one dimensional until he comes back.

1996 could easily have won it all. Coached by a MO legend one Keith Ross. The late 60s, 70s, 90s, 00s until Staley opened.
The only thing I remember of Ol'Ross Boss if that he didn't shy away from scoring 100. A little part of me loved that the end of his career was getting his teams ass kicked every week.1996 could easily have won it all. Coached by a MO legend one Keith Ross.
00s were pretty sub-par after 2003/2004. Staley took so much away in student population. I think the recent redistricting helped even it back out.The late 60s, 70s, 90s, 00s until Staley opened.
I don't think you were alone all I have to say about that............The only thing I remember of Ol'Ross Boss if that he didn't shy away from scoring 100. A little part of me loved that the end of his career was getting his teams ass kicked every week.
Hazelwood Central beat them 21-20 in the then TWA Dome.1996 could easily have won it all. Coached by a MO legend one Keith Ross.

I went to the first half of their visit to Kearney Oct 1 2010 it looked more like the vehicle went over the cliff. 35-zip or something to that effect when I exited.Staley opened in 2008. I believe OP was 7-3 in 2007 then 6-5 in 2009 before the wheels came completely off.

Not sure but wow is it fun to look at Dad's old NKC HS yearbooks (56-59)! The Hornets absolutely dominated KC metro HSFB back in those years. When they beat Jeff City in 1960s, when everyone thought Jeff City was unbeatable. Then Jeff City didn't schedule them again. Or was that NKC?
NKC should have. Before 1965, when Oak Park opened, it had like 3,600 students. Not sure but wow is it fun to look at Dad's old NKC HS yearbooks (56-59)! The Hornets absolutely dominated KC metro HSFB back in those years.
Your historical bullshit is no more believable than your contemporary bullshit. When they beat Jeff City in 1960s, when everyone thought Jeff City was unbeatable. Then Jeff City didn't schedule them again. Or was that NKC?
Yep much thicker yearbooks than my Kearney ones (late 70s-early 80s).NKC should have. Before 1965, when Oak Park opened, it had like 3,600 students.

Feeding one of my ignore list trolls I see. They are no more fun here than on X (fka Twitter)............Jeff City 9-0 in 1964, Jeff City 10-0 in 1965, Jeff City 8-2 in 1966 ...Factless wonder boy.
I'm well aware of Jeff City's success in that era. Where is your evidence that they refused to schedule Oak Park, crappy failed bbq restaurant boy?Jeff City 9-0 in 1964, Jeff City 10-0 in 1965, Jeff City 8-2 in 1966 ...Factless wonder boy.
I wouldn't call 7-3 dominant at the 03/04 year where the class 5 champion (Park Hill) was turbo clocked by OP.Staley opened in 2008. I believe OP was 7-3 in 2007 then 6-5 in 2009 before the wheels came completely off.

Well, you did put it in quotes, so it must be true.Pete Adkins made excuses, per an NKC District AD, and a NKC district coach, both of whom are now deceased.
"He (Adkins) didn't want nothin' to do with us after we beat 'em...," was the terminology used.
they are good , that rb is a balling ballAnyone got a chance to watch them? They have a running back being recruited by Iowa State. They haven't played anyone but are 4-0! When did that happen last?
I think they won 5 last year right?Just saw they beat NKC. They play Fort next week so that is a ? and have Oak Park , but shouldn't have any problems with Truman and Excelsior.
