They've still got to finish it, but that score surprises me. I think Union has only had one close game this year.
St. James is the FRC Champion with a 7-0 record in the conference. They have been playing well lately, and that was the case again tonight. They are a handful. You can't really prepare for them because who are you going to focus on? The Lady Tigers have 8-10 very strong players and all contribute. They are the very definition of a team. They are fun to watch.
I can see them making a final four run. Mt. Vernon will be tough to get by but that game is winnable no question.
They are in a really tough district, so they could make a run in state or lose in the second round to Blair Oaks. They are the 2 seed and will play Blair Oaks in the second round and then Fatima in the finals. They've split with Blair Oaks, though the St. James win was dominant and much more recent, and lost to Fatima in overtime I think. They're definitely peaking at the right time.
They lost to Borgia at home. KRCG said they lost by 2 or 3. The perplexing part was they said they blew a 22 point first-half lead. Did anyone watch this one?
