Casey Teason and Chase Morfeld " Final Four weekend
The title of this post should be " Can anyone challenge St. Charles " in the final four? I believe Cape Notre Dame could have played the Pirates to a 2 basket game but not sure who would win because of their match up zone. Few teams know how to attack a match up zone to get the best results from their interior players.
Hillcrest could have major problems defeating the St. Charles Pirates if the Hornets just go out and play the game. If the Hornets do not change defenses and allow Chase Morfeld and Casey Teason to get in a comfortable ' Flow of the game ", the Hornets are in trouble. The two guards from St. Charles could be the best in the state if allowed to " Get the feeling " then it could be over as points could come in bunches. Hillcrest must not allow easy touches to the Pirates guards and hope they pass off.
The St. Charles Pirates have defeated some good teams this season like Class 5 final four St. Louis University High two times. SLUH allowed the Pirates guards to much freedom and they went to work.
Casey Teason has signed with Eastern Illinois and believes he can compete there. Casey Teason is smart, wants a college degree and basketball can help him with the higher education. Chase Morfeld has not signed but is looking to continue his basketball career after high school. Hopefully this weekend in Columbia will help him to achieve his goals of playing college basketball.
