That just ain't how it works. The SEMO area has had many teams in the past, in boys and girls, that could have made it to the Final 4 but they met in district or sectional games. It happens all the time across the state.Any way we can petition MSHSAA to put Greenwood and Hartville on opposite sides of the stae play-off bracket?
But why doesn't MSHSAA figure out a way to re-seed once they get to the final 4?That just ain't how it works. The way it is, one of the 2 top teams will not make it past the elite 8..But why doesn't MSHSAA figure out a way to re-seed once they get to the final 4?
I'm pretty sure this isn't the Sunrise Christian Academy team that plays the national schedule, they're elite team. That team is playing in the St. James NIBC Invitational in Springfield, Virginia this weekend. The elite of the elite in the country are playing in that tournament.
I'm pretty sure this Sunrise Christian team is just their regular high school team. This is based on what I've looked up, because when I saw the score I was shocked. Greenwood is good but they're not that good to knock off a top 5 team nationally by 30 points.
Once they get to the Final 4 everybody should be pretty good and you play the one they put in front of you.But why doesn't MSHSAA figure out a way to re-seed once they get to the final 4?
One of the top two teams according to who? Can't be the polls everybody says they're way off. Like I said it happens every year in some district final or sectional game that the loser would have done quite well the rest of the way. There have to divide em up by some kind of lines and then there's the occasional upset that puts a team that wasn't very good all season in the next round or maybe they just got an injury player back at the right time. That's REAL big deal in baseball and softball if your best pitcher gets hurt then comes back in time for the playoff run.The way it is, one of the 2 top teams will not make it past the elite 8..
Because they are tooHow is a small town like Hartville beating basically All Star teams?

South Iron beat Greenwood last season and they are NOT an allstar team. They play with home grown kids last I could tell. Could be hard work and good coaching.Because they are too
If you are any kind of a fan or coach, you would know that Greenwood and Hartville are clearly the top of their class. It does happen every year in all sports. When it is this obvious, you just wish it could change. Like you said though, it is a long way off and aything can happen. One of the top two teams according to who?
