Talented Hickman (Columbia) wideout
Westly Leftwich has speed to burn and he has shown it on the football field,
at combines throughout the Midwest, and at the U.S. Army All-American workout
where he recorded the fastest time in the 40-yard dash.
Leftwich, a Missouri commitment has impressed at combines
because of his blazing speed and route-running. One of the fastest players
in the Midwest continues to improve physically. While he didn't measure in much
different than what he did at the U.S. Army All-American Combine, coming in at
6-1 and 196 pounds, his upper body strength has noticeably increased.
Very early in the recruiting process Leftwich elected to stay
in his home town, committing to the Mizzou Tigers.
"It's been real nice to have the decision out of the way,"
Leftwich commented to Rivals.com Football Recruiting. "It's allowed me to focus
on my high school team and get this track season started. I don't have to worry
about all these coaches contacting me, saying the same thing over and over
again. I'm happy to have it out of the way, and I'm ready to play football for
the Tigers."
Leftwich has a skill set that will fit in nicely with the
Tigers spread formation and passing attack. Check out Leftwich in
this interview below and on the field in the videos. He will also be a key
component of the Kewpie offense this fall.
