I saw a post the other day that over 50,000 people die from pneumonia every year in just the United States. I was like really that seems so high and unrealistic, so I looked it up, and sure enough there is that many deaths each year from pneumonia some more some less, but more than the flue itself which on average is about 3,000 a year. Which makes me wonder will the coronavirus be that much worse? I mean I guess it can be, but man you never hear anything about pneumonia and we have that many deaths a year, I hear more about the flue.
Serious question. Was the cutback due to having multiple organizations doing the same thing? Wouldn’t this be covered by the CDC?
Completely speculating when I ask this, but is it possible that most of those are old people who have a lot wrong with them and pneumonia ends up being the ultimate cause of death, and listed on the certificate, but I thought back in the day a lot of the people who died from AIDS were listed as pneumonia.
So many people don’t go to the doc because of deductibles until they are really sick or it is too late.
I really don't know, it just really made me question it for sure. You can google it for yourself and look maybe you can find that information better than I can.
You have to be an activist, organizer, and strategist for Bernie 2020 to keep up. Those three words mean so many things, none of them good.
I did and what I found seems to say that a lot of it is preventable. Only 50% of Americans over 65 have been vaccinated and the vaccine can prevent it. It looks like it usually happens to older people with bad health.
This will only get worse the next few years with the anti vaxer crowd around. Seems these folks don't know how bad it used to be before flu shots came along and got better over the years and now they wanna go back to old days. Same with the measles.
My GF who has a Microbiology degree and a RN plus works For the Health Dept/CDC laughs at the Coronavirus it's less dangerous than the Flu. Just a Bunch of BS. The CDC is just pandering to the hype at this point they are not concerned at all. Sure some of the Old and those with preconditions will die but everybody else will be OK. This isn't the Spanish flu or the Plague.
That is happening...not sure if it's a coordinated effort or just happen stance. But it seems strange that a Basically non-lethal virus is being over hyped. And there is a easy solution to protect American's. Put a Ban or Quarantine on any Country that could bring it in.
That's BS, people run to the Doctor today more than ever. Do you even Know any physicians,Nurse Practitioners,or RN ? I do I work at a Hospital,Have two Friends who are Doctors and multiple friends who are RN.They will Tell you The issue is the the system is being over used for your average everyday Bump,Bruise or Sniffle.
Kid sprains a ankle...he's at the Doctor for a X-ray/MRI etc. cause Mommy is afraid he broke it. Kid's sore and has back pain OHHHH MY gosh he got Meningitis!! Head to the Doctor. Kid's got a runny nose but no fever let's get some Antibiotics to fix a virus. I could fill up this board with stories like this.
Wall Street knows it, that is why it a bogus BS, only 2,800 people have died from it and 2,700 of those are in China. It's not like the young and Strong are dying. Sure everyone is asking for increased funding to prepare for it....seems a bit sketchy right to use a so called crisis to ask for a increased gov. budget.....and possibly it might benefit some to have the market drop to then buy before the quick recovery happens when no crisis happens.
But surly that isn't the case at all......Get back to me about the Threat when over 250,000 in American die of the coronavirus. Till then it's not even a moderate concern for those who use logic. .
Wall Street is in a bit of a fake panic about the Coronavirus...And clearly he is drinking the Flav-or Aid....That is what Rush was talking about. That the Crisis was fake and maybe some where using the threat as away to tank the economy to oust Trump. I don't buy into conspiracy's, more likely they are using it to make some More Green.
I have a sister does the same thing, and I would say laughing at it is a bit over stated at this point. Currently right now what you are seeing is a full on effort by the medical field to try and contain it and by hopefully doing that eliminate it, that is why such a huge effort and so called pandering. Much like SARS. so yes there is a true concern to try and contain this, but really most feel that there is no way to do that at this point it seems to spread very easily. And there are many in the medical field that wonder if you went out and started tested everybody for it what you might see is it is already spread to all corners of the earth. Very few people are tested I think the number I heard was around 15 a day in the United States.
In the end this might just be another case of it is Flu and Coronavirus season get your shots. It is not the first time a new virus has spread among our population an it will not be the last. And while this is deadly it does not seem overly bad, It seems to avoid the young which is good. Seems to be worse on the old which I guess is a bad time to be over 50....
Laughing is a bit of the hyperbole to counter all the bogus propaganda about it. But really the Flu is again killing more than the Coronavirus... Still under 90,000 world wide cases in all. Still under 3,000 world wide deaths, and only 119 have died outside of China.
This is really a non-issue or threat, your odds of dying from a heart attack or a accident dwarf the odds of dying form the Coronavirus. People just love to have something to be worked up over.
