Next week I'll be making a trip into unfamiliar territory to the tiny village of Guliford in Nodaway county.
Plan to take an extra day returning to Mexico. Any suggestions on scenic back roads, curiosities or things of interest.

If you want to take the highway 36 route, you can see the following:

Marceline on hwy 5, just south of hwy 36 has the Boyhood home of Walt Disney.

Stop and have some famous wings and a cold beer at Helm Street Inn in Brookfield.

Then theres Laclade, where can visit General John J. Pershing Boyhood home, then cruise throgh Pershing State Park and go see the Covered Bridge.

Next stop Chillicothe, Home of Sliced Bread
