How do they take him out of the lineup when DeJong is ready to go? Very good defensive SS, he can run, runs hard like you should and he can hit a little.

Not sure of the timing...but you might see him at 2B some and Edman in the OF if Dejong is back before Bader. Only problem is, Marp the corpse got his BA “up” in the .170s with another couple hits last night. Which In Schildts fantasy world equates to him getting more and more ABs. So Sosa might be odd man out either way, which is a shame.

The thinking will be Sosa is a better guy to have on the bench than Marp because he can do more things. Well yeah. He's a better guy to have on the bench, on the field, in the box, on the bases, and probably anywhere else you want to name, because well, he can do more things than Marp. But Marp was good a few years ago and he's starting to turn it around. He's earned the chance to prove he can still do it and we're going to give him that chance.

Is he turning it around? His swing and miss rate is as high as it has ever been. That's a pretty good indicator the only difference is his BABIP is higher...which isn't much more than luck.

He still can't play defense with ANY of these other guys. If they want to use him it should be as a DH when they play in the AL parks. NO one on this team should be at 1st base ahead of Edman. I would guess there has been at least 5 plays he would have made that Carp didn't didn't even get to.
