I heard/read that this December is on pace to be the worst December since the ‘30’s. “I alone can fix it.” He sure has.
You know what is strange, if you look at a graph of the Dow over the last 3 years,,after the 2016 election when Republicans were elected it shot through the roof. November 2018 and Democrats get elected it starts tanking in a matter of days. I don’t think that’s a coincidence

There were lawsuits before the midterms and stock market up. There were tariffs before the midterms and stock market up. Mueller investigation has been there but stock market up. Come on dude, Seriously?

Walls are closing in on POTUS and his actions are showing his knowledge of that.
More and more people people are starting to feel the affects of the tariffs.
Mueller investigation keeps creeping toward the POTUS and his kids. Even some hardliners are changing their thoughts about our CONmander in Chief.
POTUS staffers are leaving or being fired right and left.
POTUS is in a tailspin.
People see all this.

If you would read the post I replied to was by outsideveer saying the drop in the market only started after dems got elected in November. It happens to be the the worst YEAR for the market since '08, as I recall that was a pretty bad year. I also said NOTHING about it being any gauge of the average peoples sentiment.

If you look where the market was the day of the midterms, you'll see that this years market decline has all happened since then. Just because the market is down for the year doesn't mean the decline happened all year.
But look how much negativity has surrounded POTUS just this month. I don’t expect next month to be any better for him. I hope it is for the SM, though.
Yeah, until the last month, there hasn't hardly been any negativity toward Trump.
The market got you back a thousand today. No telling what the immediate future holds but the market usually is higher during shutdowns and the economic fundamentals are great except for trade uncertainty. That should clear out soon too.
I just checked my stock 401k and i'm down 12% for the year, all of it in the last 6 months and 85% of it since the midterms. None of that includes todays 5% increase.

How does it have an all time record drop one day and a record high the next business day? What the heck changed the market on Christmas day? If they can't make up their mind how can the rest of the world?

Trumps trade war has been on all year yet the market drops in the last 2 months.
Trumps erratic behavior started before he got elected yet the market has climbed substantially.

Another rough day in the market. Dow only up 160 pts. With the economy the way it is it should be better.
Like I said those folks on Wall St. are some weird folks. What made them go nuts and sell of, then buy in a record day, then sell again for half a day to the tune of a 600 point drop then buy again to bring it back in the black. I think they're all schizophrenic nut jobs that have NO idea what they want to happen in the world. And that's the people that control all the money!

If you look at the P/E ratio of stocks most are so terribly overvalued you are a fool to buy. Everyone is just betting there is someone stupider than they are that will push the price even higher and they can sell and take their profit. At some point in time there is nobody willing to pay the price and the last guy holding the bag is in a lot of hurt

What do you KNOW that I don't? You guys claim a lot of things are happening but there is no evidence any of it is. If you guys were getting good info, Trump wouldn't have been elected, would be out of office, would be in jail with his kids, and all would be right in the liberal world. You've also claimed everyone around Trump is dirty and going down left and right. Who is in jail except a tax cheat?
