They can pump up production on their existing wells where they recently cut production. That has NOTHING to do with drilling new wells. MANY American businesses are getting on board with taking their products and services away from Russia, surely big oil can start ramping up production again.
Maybe you need to read up on what it takes before you can even start drilling. It can take years before you can get started
WE WERE ENERGY INDEPENDENT!!!! All of what you said is a moot point. Nobody sat on oil and nobody was on their knees in front of the Venezuelan and Saudi leaders until Biden closed the pipeline. And he did it like he was a hero just to reverse Trump policies. SMH There is absolutely zero answer for what is going on now in our country and any attempt to give one is simply to try to save face for voting for him. In a little over 1 year this administration has been the biggest disaster in our country's history.
No one "closed" a pipeline, it was never open so it never had drop of oil flow through it.

Trying to find them is different that dreaming we can convert to them without viable alternatives which is the Biden/Dems plan. In the End we will have to go Nuclear it will be the only option, as Wind and Solar are pipe dream to cover the worlds needs.
They are bad guys because of the way the Govern and how they treat their citizens. And Nationalized oil fields are part of that.

Yes because it protected our Oil Producers and allowed them to weather the storm of less demand. SA could of ramped up production and the bottom would of fell out of the Oil industry in the short term that would of been a big Benefit to OPEC. And during the Early Days of C19 gas wasn't sky high at all. It went down even with the cut back in production.
Our oil producers don't need protection. We're supposed to be a capitalist economy remember?
Why would it be bad for our oil producers but not for OPEC? What big oil company in this country is danger of going broke? Making less money is NOT going broke!
They would NOT be losing money, they would would just make a little less on the backs of those of us that keep them business to start with. I reckon helping the hard working people in this country just ain't worth taking a little less profit but nowhere near a loss!
