So if Wainwright was healthy enough to pitch that way tonight

Does he get a free pass for getting rocked and getting knocked out in 4 innings in two consecutive playoff starts?
He depleted our bullpen in those two starts.

That is 6 consecutive post season starts without a win for Wainwright.

While he obviously wasn't at his best in game 1, with any kind of major league defense he would have only given up 1 run and probably lasts longer than 4.2 innings. You can't really put all the blame on him for that game. He got ground balls when he needed them. Unfortunately our infield didn't make the plays when they needed to.

Can't blame him for not getting a win last night. He did his part.

Wainwright is another over rated Cardinal.
He couldn't carry Carp's missing rib.
If Duck is right, six starts with a win is not a big time
post season pitcher no matter how many excuses you
come up with. If you miss some bats you can get
out of jams. He can't getter done.

Who knows if he had a dead arm before today. Velocity and pitch selection were similar to good Waino, which was a nice sign.

Can't blame him today. I think one of the questions one could ask about Game 5 is if Waino should have started the 8th with Neshek saved for the ninth in place of Rosie.
