Closely monitoring bot activity now. Hoping and praying Operation Political Crap Board does not need to commence.

Only activity so far are a very few brand new (suspect bot) accounts liking messages. Hitting ignore on each of those.
Yes there have been bots liking messages BUT so far (fingers crossed) no more threads. Not going to declare this over until next Monday, though.
We are BACK after about an hour down....................hopefully a server update to block all the bots. Time will tell!
I'd love it if all the threads the bots made got deleted.
That would be a pretty incredible amount of work have to delete the registered accounts one by one.
any decent message board should have a remove all content radial button when banning a user. I know a few discord boards i mod on all have that option which is great when you have woke up to some new user spewing racist BS or posting nsfw material ( not in the nsfw room). No need to go hunt it all down just 1 click of a button and poof magic

Oh boy. Where do we begin? Just a MASSIVE, multi-day bot attack. Started as peddling opioids. Then morphed into all sorts of things. Quick Books, Fornite, gaining Tik Tok followers, weigh loss.

It was also ignored for me. Looking at the other dead forums, there does not appear to be new bot posts on them. So thats a good sign
I probably, at this stage, should explain myself better: I do root cause/preventive and corrective action investigations and analyses for a living so pardon me perhaps digging too deep but this definitely has to stop.
This is yet another seemingly minor clue that this Football board is the real target of whomever is doing this. Timing is the other. Why is it happening mid-summer? Who is off/has spare time these days? Is this random or aimed at one individual on this site?
I also continue to go back to the long trolling/mocking messages sent by single time users that began last spring. Is that related?
Who among us has had run ins, intentional or no, with perhaps someone here or is it someone who got banned now seeking petty revenge?
AGAIN if this ever truly goes away I will drop it all and move on. My only interest is the survival of this great forum.
I did read the stuff shared about the Nebraska board yesterday. That board definitely got hit with bots. Wonder what other boards got attacked?
