Smithville by 3 - Stamp it!

Going out on a limb. Counting on turnovers. Counting on better execution than St. Mary's. Counting on some breaks. I mean, Center is a much faster team than St. Mary's... At least the genius' on here think so. Who am I to question or look at track times to try to prove anyone wrong? I mean, its track, not football.

Nailbiter - and the Warriors win.

Well Joey, based on your other posts, I didn't expect this prediction. On paper, St. Mary's has 3 division one recruits, so I can understand why people would pick them to win. However, with Smithville playing at home and taking advantage of possible sloppy play, you never know what could happen. Either way, it will be a can't miss game. You never know, it might be another MICDS vs Smithville type game where there are huge swings in scoring. It seemed to go that way last week during the Hillsboro vs St. Marys matchup. Gonna be a good one!

There are some players that people are greatly underestimating on the Smithville team, especially up front. They have to contain St. Mary's... ball control. Run clock. TOP. STRIP... have to strip the ball.

So jackasses want to talk about teams out of it already. I prefer to talk teams that are still in it. Like Smithville. Is St. Mary's a mirage? All the players they have highly rated just hype? I tend to think so.

The Oracle of Calpreps has spoken

4 PLAYOFFS
St. Mary's (St. Louis, MO) at Smithville (MO), 1:00pm [projection and percent chances to win: St. Mary's (St. Louis, MO) 31 (65%) Smithville (MO) 24 (35%)]

If they calling it that close, St. Mary's is in BIG TROUBLE

From two weeks ago...
[projection and percent chances to win: Kearney (MO) 28 (57%) Smithville (MO) 26 (43%)]

This is another example why I don't go to any of the computer prediction sites. Looking at the Hillsboro replay I didn't like how St. Mary's D looked in that one at all so this could indeed be closer than my head thinks this time. The other two games spread way farther than I anticipated, though.

My head says Smithville by three. Now seeing Calpreps, my head is thinking Smithville by 14+

Guess not. The second place team in the Suburban Blue conference could not hang.

Just got home. Smithville had it going for 2+ quarters but the patented St. Mary's 4th was way too much. GREAT SEASON GREAT PROGRAM over that way.
I guess the way it turned out, Kearney’s best win this year was against Fort. The second best win was over Smithville, where they held them to 19. Lowest score of the season for them.

Smithville totally had me shocked the first two plus quarters. Absolutely perfect game plan and incredible effort from a team playing a National top 200 (maybe actually 150 or less) all star team! I love our KDogs but would have wanted no part of them playing St. Mary's. If you want the real truth this turned out as I had intimated many times this season: St. Mary's is and always was far and away the best in C4. They should win pretty handily next week BUT BUT BUT that is a rival so who knows?

Smithville wins it. Turnovers got them. Just like they got K. St Mary’s was no super team. Sloppy ball handling.

Super rushing offense when clicking on all cylinders but yeah the passing game was non-existent and the D was not all that good. How do you not know where #4 is ANY play let alone several? Amazing coaching just not good execution when I still contend the kids just flat ran out of gas in the 4th.
