It's been about a month since the last post. How about some discussions. How's club ball going? Top teams? Any college signings or coaching changes? Predictions for next season? Here you go....

Class 4 - Lafayette (young this year) or Lees Summit West (like her or not, don't underestimate Hanaway)

Class 3 - Pleasant Hill (no seniors on team this year)

Class 2 - Fatima (return alot, and I thought they were the best class 2 team this year)

Class 1 - ?

I think St. Pius X of Festus will be pretty stacked again this season in Class 2; IIRC, they are only losing one senior and returning the Held girl. Saw them play at Sectionals and she made mincemeat out of Scott City's Katie Hogan and Mikah Simpson. My money is on them.

In Class 1, Valle Catholic and Eminence are the prohibitive favorites, but keep an eye on two very talented teams from Stoddard County, Advance and Bernie, both of which will return a talented senior class next season.

Valle will be good but they graduated a nice senior class. Lost some size and a setter. Played with very little emotion in the state final last fall.

Don't forget that the state will be re-doing districts based on enrollment numbers next year. Some schools may be changing districts or even classes. Holden for example may be dropping from class 3 to class 2 based on a lower enrollment numbers since the last cycle. If they do, don't be surprised if they make some noise in class 2.

You mention Bernie, but I saw that they were advertising for a new head volleyball coach. Do you know if they've hired anyone yet? (wonder what Bill Zoll's doing these days.......hmmm??)

Lafayette will be strong again with many good players resturning. Blue Springs, Blue Springs South, Lee's Summit West, and Lee's Summit North should all be top ten teams again next season.

BTW, it is obvious what you think of Hanaway since you seem to make it personal altough most likely you don't even know her.
